I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

Christian is a personal bodyguard for Bobby, a man who helped give Chris a home and job. He is very loyal to Bobby, which makes it very difficult to turn him down when Bobby gives Chris the job of pretending to be his son's boyfriend while Bobby is away in order to keep an eye on him (Duncan refuses a bodyguard). Chris struggles with this for many reasons, one major one being that he is asexual and has never had a relationship of any kind.

As Chris and Duncan get to know each other, we find that the public perception of Duncan is nothing like the reality, Duncan and Chris have amazing chemistry, and Chris finds himself truly falling for Duncan. Chris really struggles with his duty to his job and his feelings for Duncan. I worried about the angst level, but it was mostly anticipation of angst on my part because I knew what Christian knew and I was waiting for the other shoe to drop when poor Duncan found out Chris was initially paid by his dad to date him. Once everything came out in the open, the on page angst seemed to go quickly. It wasn't an overpowering amount in the story and it seemed balanced.

I did not like Phenix (Duncan's best friend) at all and I almost wish we knew just a little bit more about his endgame. I didn't quite understand why he was so against Chris and why he tried so hard to keep Chris and Duncan apart. That said, Chris' best friend Jett was awesome! I also really liked Chris' boss and Duncan's dad, Bobby. He made a poor decision, but you could tell it was made out of love, and he clearly loved both guys.
