Just taking a pause
I’m enjoying making my way through these books, but because I’ve watched the movies a couple of times very recently and because of the slow pace of the book at times I think I need to take a pause on these and read something else because it’s putting me in a slump😭 I will be returning though when I really want to sink into a fantasy book and don’t have so much going on in my life.

After having spent nearly my entire life watching the Lord of the Rings, finally reading [b:The Two Towers|61215372|The Two Towers (The Lord of the Rings, #2)|J.R.R. Tolkien|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1654216149l/61215372._SY75_.jpg|2963845] was a bucket list experience. I loved reading this book and comparing it to Peter Jackson's interpretation of the films. So good! The world and lore and so deep and lush it feels like a real world. Characters are well known, of course, and lovable. Some of the best fantasy out there if you can take the dated writing.
