I'm a Scorpio. When I was younger there was a moment where I was doubting if I was a Scorpio or a Sagittarius, but how there could have been any confusion concerning my sign is unclear. I'm secretive and a little closed off, but I have fire and emotions rushing through my veins and an unhealthy fascination with the dark side of life and people. So, even though I normally don't like contemporary, my inner Scorpio couldn't say no to an arc for this book.

This book is everything it promises and even a little more. The tension throughout the entire story is amazing. There is tension between the characters, both romantically, sexually and furiously. There is tension concerning the death of the oldest sister, with loads of questions still to be answered in the books to come. And then there is all the tension concerning the sorority, I'm glad I never aimed too high when it comes to that, and the family business.

My inner Scorpio craving for some darkness for sure wasn't disappointed. There are quite a few scenes showing very clearly that our heroine also has a dark side and then there are all the scenes we're not really shown, but we are told they've happened. It's far from pretty. What happens in the sorority is far from pretty, what happens in the family is far from pretty and the guys handling the entire situation is far from pretty too.

It makes sense that our heroine is a little closed off when you realize everything that has been done to her and that is still being done to her. This is a world where emotions are weapons. You're either the one using them against others or others are using your emotions against you. And yet, we see glimpses of emotions, of feelings and longings and wants. I truly hope, because I have started liking her and rooting for her, that she will get the chance to discover in later books that emotions can also be good and nice and pleasant.

I at least can't wait for the next book!

  • i actually liked the FMC in this one decently well, she had a backbone and a penchant for vengeance i appreciated
  • the MMCs were pretty much assholes overall and the double-standards they had were so awful
  • the book was not realistic by any means, i mean the girl was raised by her father to be a 'death dealer' and tortures people on weekend breaks and shit while the MMCs (along with their parents) defer to this secret society that controls the entire United States west coast or some shit secretly LOL
  • it is a decent mystery about what happened to the FMC's sister, definitely had me curious i will admit
  • there was not a lot of romantic action in this one, mostly exposition, but i hated how some of the MMCs slut-shamed Lyric when they did the exact same things, and mainly the male main character Jude harrassed her way too much with no reasoning at all behind it and the other just let it happen
  • the FMC's alive sister Melody was such a bitch the whole time and seeemed to be setting the FMC up for failure and it made me so mad how Lyric just like. was BLIND to this happening. like bitch whines and moans about her trust issues but trusts the WRONG PEOPLE way too much
  • i was intrigued enough to move onto the second book, although as mentioned i did not love the MMCs and i fucking HATE secret society plots in these types of books

This is Bk1 in a new series, so yesss I Am Here For It All. This is by 2 new arthur's for me and the after reading it I want more. I'm going to have to look into their other book's that's for sure.

Lyric Sterling has had a lot of tragedy in her life while also being trained to be her father's enforcer, because who would suspect an innocent girl, right? At an early age she's had to learn how to hide behind a mask and play a roll and now she's going to have to play a bigger roll as Lyric has signed up for Westland University where the 4 go...the Boys of Ascendance Bay Jude, Thayer, Keats , Atlas who were best friends to her older sister and were the last to see her before she was killed in a car accident and blames them and she's come to the university to get answers.
I didnt know what to expect when I started reading this story, but all I know is once I started I was hooked from the 1st page and couldn't put it down, so now I have to wait for the next book in the series, because that Ending...I just knew it was bound to happen just didnt know when and now she's on their radar. Oh yeh this is definitely a must read.

This book was one hell of a roller coaster that had me clinging on for the ride, Lyric is one FMC I insta loved, she is a strong independent female who can stand up for herself.
This book follows Lyric and her twin melody trying to discover how their older sister died while lyric attends college undercover due to believing her older sister's friends know what happened to her.
This book has a brilliant plot with Mystery, a few sparks, and some action.
I cant wait to see what happens in the next book after that Cliffhanger

don’t get me wrong, i loved Lyric!
she’s badass and headstrong, the type of FMC i love to read. buuuuut i don’t like any of the love interest ☹️
2 of the 4 have girlfriends in the book and honestly barely even show up.
the other 2 ….. eh
i don’t think i like Melody … something is definitely off about her. also that ending??? it’s all adding up

There's so much mystery left, I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
The FMC's secret life seems to be straight up awful.
Also, fuck Melody.
