Una palabra: Increíble.
Aclaremos algo: Acheron Parthenopaeus siempre ha sido una variable o algo desconocido en cada libro de la saga Dark Hunters. Siempre tan misterioso, con un aire que te dice "Hay mucho mas de mi y no puedes verlo" Bueno, si te has sentido así o quieres saber mas de Ash, este libro explica todo sobre el, y cuando digo todo es todo.
El libro esta dividido en tres partes:
La primera parte narrada por Apollymi, la Diosa de La Destrucción. Esta parte es un poco corta y cuenta como los Dioses Atlantes estaban furiosos con Apollymi por no matar a su hijo, quien había sido maldecido por los Destinos. Al no tener opción dicha diosa da a luz a Apostolos y manda a su sobrina ponerlo en el vientre de una reina embaraza para que estuviera a salvo. Después es encerrada por los Dioses Atlantes en Kalosis, el infierno Atlante y la única forma de salir es que su hijo vaya a buscarla o que el muera. La segunda parte es del el Diario de Ryssa, quien era la hija de la reina que dio a luz a Apostolos en el reino humano. Y la tercera es narrada por Acheron antes y después de morir.
La primera parte responde muchas preguntas sobre Acheron que me quedaron después de que leí el libro de Kat y Sin. Realmente entendí lo mucho que Apollymi ama a su hijo y todo lo que daría por él, yo también destruiría al mundo si le hicieran algo a mi hijo.
La segunda parte es mas o menos la parte en la que más lloré. En serio lloré. Como toda una estúpida niña sentimental. Pero lo merecía. Esto realmente lo merecía. Todo lo que Ryssa decía sobre como era su vida y todo lo que le hicieron a Acheron me hizo sufrir, me hizo querer hacer algo, querer cambiar todo. Entendí el dolor de Ryssa por lo que le hicieron al pequeño Acheron, quien no se merecía eso. Nada de eso. ¿Saben? Cuando me preguntaba lo que hicieron a Acheron en el pasado para que fuera tan sabio y misterioso, nunca pensé que seria algo así.
La tercera parte es narrada por Acheron. Antes de morir su vida era simplemente miserable. Cuando Ryssa por fin le consiguió un poco de paz, Artemisa aparece. Y por primera vez estoy de acuerdo con Simi cuando le dice diosa-perra. Acheron prácticamente le dio todo a Artemisa y ella lo destrozo. Lo hizo sufrir por simplemente el hecho de serle leal.
Los personajes: Styxx, el hermano gemelo de Ash, quién es realmente un cretino. Él y su padre trataron a Acheron realmente mal. Y hasta lo torturaron. Lo malo es que la vida de Ash esta atada a la de él. Apolo el hermano gemelo de Artemisa, quien en este libro es un maldito bastardo.
Después de que Acheron fuera de vuelto a la vida por Artemisa, tuvo que aprender a como utilizar sus poderes de Dios. Tuvo que lidiar con una pequeña demonio, con su madre y con la siempre molesta Artemisa.
Después de eso el libro hace un cambio drástico al presente donde Ash se encuentra con al Doctora Kafieri, pero no Geary, sino su prima Tory.
No mas spoilers, dije todo lo que pude decir. Ya no puedo decir mas.
P.S. Si hay algo aprecio en esta vida es un buen libro. Y éste sin duda lo fue.

So the story is in two main parts : Acheron's past (11000 years ago) and present as in years 2010+
It has all what I love in a fantasy book or any book for that matter: great characters, action , emotions
Greek mythology
and I guess some life lessons
or as Ash says : Things have to go wrong before they go right
Why the half star loss: I wasn't as heart broken as I was the first time I read it.

I was sooo looking forward to this book after reading the other DH stories before it that I think I had my expectations way too high. Ash is by far my favorite character and the book was good, I just expected a more. It probably didn't help that I really didn't care for Tory at all.

Audio- It was a roller-coaster ride through hell and back much of it on the shoulders of a little boy. There were just too many details of torture for me to have enjoyed this book. I think part 2 was a decent attempt to bring some 'life' to this poor character, but I just couldn't stop "seeing' what was done before.

This book is WAYYY too long. I appreciate that we finally get Acheron’s backstory but the first book (his human life) was just soooo long. And also very difficult to read. Kenyon is the queen of tragic backstories, but I think her dragging it out made it much more difficult to read.
At first I was disappointed that the story was told from his sister’s point of view, but as I read I saw the necessity of it.
I also wasn’t thrilled about his present-day love story. I loved her profession and her connection to Italy and Acheron’s past, but I expected more from Acheron’s tale. It also seemed kind of rushed after book one.

Acheron, book 27 of the Dark-Hunters/Were-Hunters/Dream Hunters series, by Sherrilyn Kenyon (McQueen) @mysherrilyn. This is a reread of this series for me. Long overdue, at that! 😂 I am reading this series in the order from Sherrilyn’s website.
I cried so much with this book. Heartbreaking. Acheron was tormented as a human & Artemis is a horrible person. Acheron meets & falls in love with Tory & Tory falls in love with him & vows to protect him with everything she has. Amazing book. Just fantastic. If you like Atlantis, Greek mythology, MF, gods & goddesses & a forever love, then you will love this book.

I read this book before reading fantasy lover. It was boring so I stopped reading it. I thought maybe I needed to read the first few books to understand it, but I read the first few pages of fantasy lover and decided these books are not worth my time.
