ethan hawke’s view on art as a necessity to life really shines through here. i love the way his mind works and this raw and vulnerable book offered so much wisdom on identity, shame, guilt, love and art.

Nothing really happens, but I quite enjoyed the character study of William. He is so flawed, but somehow inspiring. I wasn’t really hooked, I did enjoy the read.
