This is a cute YA graphic novel.

Super cute art, a charming set of characters, a little bit of reverse heist adventures sprinkled with very minor drama about retaliating against public image of perfection and compliance with, well, stealing things. It was a very feel-good read overall, and supporting characters were truly supporting (Leslie best girl! And god, her and her bf in pirate and princess costumes respectively made me crack up so much!)

Overall, I’d recommend it for those who loved The Prince and Dressmaker and Anya’s Ghost — it has a similar kind of charm that makes you smile when reading, and of course, has lovable queer characters.

J’ai adoré ! Le dessin si expressif et doux, les couleurs parfaites, et une histoire qui emporte et fait ressentir plein d’émotions, aaaah, vague de tendresse. Vraiment superbe.

I fear this is becoming a pattern (two in a row can make a pattern, right?!) with me reading YA graphic novels lately: really loved the art, but the story was just ok to me. It was cute and original and kinda fun but I just wasn’t feeling it enough for whatever reason(s). BUT THE ART WAS PERFECT

Read this gorgeous little novel from start to finish! Nothing says love like adorably flawed, sticky handed gays.
