Aww what a cute and original story! I loved the friendships and the layout.
This was a super cute little stories about two kids falling in love and learning how to help each other through the tough stuff. I love a cute fluffy romance but it was really good to see two queer teenagers working through their challenges together. Also it was nice that it didn’t have to be queer specific trauma too. I appreciate seeing stories where the characters are queer and are treated just like all the other kids too.
This story felt soothing in a way :). Just what I needed.

Beautiful illustrations, characters and narrative. I really loved the use of water throughout to visualise the characters emotions.
I was kicking my legs and squealing like a little girl
This book is so cute and I love the art styles so much. I love how it was able to deal with a heavy topic in a way that didn’t make the book heavy, and dealt with the main “problem” in a fun way. The communication by the characters felt real and I’m glad they’re talked to one another when there was a problem.
Ella and Madeline are so perfect together, and I also enjoyed Ella’s friendship with Leslie.
