I wanted more of a formal ending. This series is so sweet!

Loveable characters: Yes

honestly, three stars is GENEROUS. yoshioka was THE MOST insufferable protagonist and lwk embodies what i dislike about romance/shoujo. LIKE NARUMI WAS LITERALLY JUST DISOWNED BY HER ONLY LIVING PARENT AND YOUR UPSET THAT KOU IS COMFORTING HER??? HOW INCONSIDERATE AND SELF CENTERED CAN YOU BE??? and her relationship w other irrelevant dude seemed to wrong even though he was almost as annoying. AND KOUUU GODDAMN THAT BOY. "I COULD RAPE YOU NOW, YOU KNOW." I BETTER NOT BE SEEING ANNNYYY MAID SAMA SLANDER FOR USUI BEING CREEPY FROM ANYONE WHO PREFERS KOU. at least yuri wasnt reduced to plot device to show how much better yoshioka is for kou and to exemplify yoshioka combatting internalized misogyny while almost every other female character is shoved into some chliche. hahahahaha. imagine. only thing keeping this from a two stars is bc the last two chapters were cute. :,D

What's interesting about their story is how their naivety of love slowly progresses into learning. There was plenty of involvement with side characters, and I think that was for the better of how the characters developed (considering most of them are young).
