almost top tier for children’s books imo. it’s superb in terms of illustrations, they look beautiful… i really appreciate how imaginative yet simple the premise is - a boy thinking about what being kind means, and how broadly the topic of kindness was viewed as a result, starting from a very specific and very local daily situation and pondering this idea on much greater levels: personal life - community life - the whole world. also, for me as a language teacher, it was a useful teaching material. i found the vocabulary quite well balanced and varied for beginner level of english!..

It can be difficult to know what to do to show kindness to someone. Taking an example (a girl spills grape juice all over her dress at school, causing most kids to laugh at her), the book explores what another child does and thinks about how to be kind.

Beautiful book with an important message. Shows how kindness spreads, how it can be really easy but sometimes it's hard. I love this one. Must have for every classroom library and child's bookshelf.

This book has lots of great concrete examples of what real kindness looks like. Love it!
