An Anonymous Girl by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen 4/5⭐️⁣

Jessica is a broke makeup artist in NYC just trying to get by. When she overhears about an opportunity to make quick money by participating in a study on morals and ethics, she can’t resist. As the study continues Jessica finds herself in over her head, when the study conducted by Dr. Shields pushes her to her limits. Jessica begins to realize this study is personal to Dr. Shields, so personal that Jessica may be putting herself and others in danger. ⁣

This was a quick and interesting read. I liked how the book takes shape and the character of Jess. There are many aspects that added layers to the story and made for interesting twists. While it’s not as thrilling as other books I’ve read, I’m glad I read it. ⁣

Completely enjoyable thriller with plenty of twists and turns!

I enjoyed [b:The Wife Between Us|34189556|The Wife Between Us|Greer Hendricks|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1496862122s/34189556.jpg|55227731] but I think this one was even better. I saw some twists coming but others took me completely by surprise. I love it when that happens!

I think my only complaint is that the use of first person POV and present tense was very distracting at times. It took me a while to get to the point where the narration flowed over me instead of making me stumble. But I'm very glad that I stuck with it.

Very fun read!

Big thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC!!

Dark and emotional with great growth depth. Interesting characters with enough twists and slow reveals to keep you reading.
