I HAD to read this because the previous book fucked me up so badly. Thankfully, this picks up right where the previous book left off. I like Fantome's depiction of mental health in this book, though it's not my favorite.
Tate is completely wrecked after what happened in the previous book. I can see where she is coming from and why she is so leery to trust others.
This book excels at depicting a loving friendship between Sandy and Tate. It was nice to see that Jameson had a softer side because I really needed to see some growth from his character. I was a bit disappointed in the ending. I think that Tate was very selfish in this book, but that may be the author's intent in how she dealt with Tate's mental health. I also felt like this book had fewer sex scenes than its predecessor.

I can't get enough of this series!
I've never read about such a unique and yet average strong woman like Tate. She breaks but rebuilds, she fights and loses, but still fights. She's genuine. I can't wait to start book 3.
