I found the author’s first 2 books mid. As a result, I put this thing off for nearly a full year… finally decided to suck it up and start it.

Well, you know what they say - the definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Hi, I’m insane.

Same formula here… detective in a should-be-spooky setting stumbles on a crime and investigates. A few years ago, a chick named Kier was living #vanlife in the woods with a boyfriend. Present day, she’s missing and our detective just so happens to go to one of the last places she was seen.

It’s just a big bowl of nothing. And I need to stop trying with this author, please. Future Jen: Stop the insanity.

This was the 3rd installment and the strongest IMO. Significant TW for IPV. #vanlife + national parks + dual timeline + intersecting storylines + super short chapters = great beach read!!
