Eve Brown herself is irritating. Jacob is fine or whatever I guess. I just don’t care about either of them very much.
But more importantly, and the true factor for DNF: The way the book is written keeps pissing me off. All the references to specific songs and do you have to mention AirPods that much? Be serious. It feels insta-dated, not to mention annoying as hell. I don’t know.

DNF at 30%
This story gave me an irreversible, undeniable ick. I can't even pinpoint what it was, but the fact that Jacob is an asshole while wanting to smash her, and she thinks of him as cute baby floof and also irrestistably hot is just wrong to me. The instant attraction despite the mutual dislike does not work for me. I expected better autism/ADHD representation from the reviews, it fell totally short. Maybe it would have become better later in the book but nothing in this world could make me want to find out. I liked the first book in the series.

Very cute romance. I like the grumpy male lead meets sunny female lead and enemies to lovers trope. Very enjoyable & perfectly light to add to my reading mix.

This was such a fun, enjoyable and heartwarming reading!!! I loved loved loved our hero and heroine- the development of their working relationship to friendship to lovers was very nicely paced. Absolutely loved reading about Evie and so sad that this trilogy is over now.
