This was cute. Very predictable, but very cute!

Teenaged fairy godmother? Adorkable!

Charity is a teen fairy godmother who "glimpses" her peers' wishes and works her magic to make their dreams come true. She's in the business of creating HEAs (happily ever afters). That is until she's blackmailed by Noah - an adorkable Star Trek loving nerd - into undoing the wish that sent the girl of his dreams into the arms of the star football player.

The hilarious banter between Charity and Noah is absolute gold! And all the Star Trek references - the costumes, the red shirt references, the mentions of Spock and Captain Janeway - had this Trekkie grinning from ear to ear.

Charity's grandmother (who is also a fairy godmother) is her mentor and confidant. She's the quintessential FGM, and adds another level to Charity's family dynamic.

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book, and it's my goal to encourage as many readers as I can to add this little gem to their TBR.

Glimpsed is a funny and cute book. I loved:

1) The protagonist (Charity) Most of the time, it's a jock with a nerdy girl. But here the role is reversed. Charity is in poms squad and Noah is a geek. But Charity isn't just another white mean girl. Instead, she is empathetic and has a heart size of a mountain. She is one of the most adorable protagonists ever. Also, loved her hair color maniac self. It was so inspiring to read!!

Super refreshing book! After being disappointed by the endings of so many books I really enjoyed this one, it took me a little bit to get into it but what a lovely story :)

This isn't bad, per se. It's an interesting idea, and some of the casual asides - that most of the witches in fairy tales are fairy godmothers gone wrong, for instance - are really intriguing. The actual story just didn't hook me, though.

There's nothing wrong with it. It's a perfectly nice high school romance with a twist of the fairy godmother abilities. It just wasn't right for me, right now. I read the first half and then skimmed the second half to find out what would happen.

I hope this does really well.

It was a charming story in a way but not my cup of tea. Didn't see anything wrong with it just didn't grab me. But I can see why people enjoy it more

Fairy godmothers don’t just exist in storybooks … they exist in high school, too. Since she was 12 years old, Charity has glimpsed people’s deepest desires, and she’s done everything she can to make them come true. But all it takes is some good old-fashioned blackmail for Charity to see that some of the “Happily Ever Afters” have turned into “Happily Never Afters.” Charity must correct her mistakes before she ruins her Cinderellas’ destinies forever.

I really enjoyed this book! G.F. Miller managed to convey the real struggles high school students face - parental divorce, isolation, low self esteem, bullying - while making the reader believe that there is hope for a happily ever after. Both the romance and the everyday high school vibes reminded me of As You Wish It by Jackson Pearce. It was all at once sweet, sassy and utterly wholesome, and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to read it.

I didn't really really like it, but I didn't dislike it at all.

+ The premise was pretty cute.

+ Noah. He grows on you like he did on Charity.

- Charity doesn't really mature. Sure, she realises that she doesn't need to fix everyone but how she dealt with Noah and Holly was very immature.
