So cute! And realistic! A really honest look at a number of things:
1) being bisexual
2) being fat (it’s okay)
3) being a twin
4) realising your sexuality later in life, and it being a process

I related to a lot of stuff in this book and all of it hit home and felt authentic. I love Lily & Cassie and their interactions in this book. It’s so sweet and pure and fun. There are a few issues this book covers too - fatphobia, sexism, bi-erasure, racism - it’s not an incredibly in depth look at either one, rather each weave throughout the narrative in an amount that feels appropriate for this story. It’s not the protagonists’ job to solve any of these issues but that’s not to say that Lily sits on the fence with any of them, either.

Overall I think I actually enjoyed this more than Rutter’s first book - No Big Deal - and I’m excited to see what she covers next.

A fun YA read and I loved the fact it was partly about body positivity, so nice to see this being supported and included so much more especially in books for YA readers. I loved Lily, she was a great main character and I loved how she struggled when th her conundrum, worrying about and trying to maintain her relationships with everyone , it’s such a fun read but with lots of heart too. Fabulous read.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

This was such a lovely read. I found not much happened really, there weren’t any major dramas or secrets or plot twists, but it was so wholesome and cute. I loved Lily as a main character and her mum is so sweet. I loved how the struggles of sexuality and university self esteem were handled and I feel like if I read this book as a teenager it would have really helped me feel less lonely!!

it was cute, with some good paragraphs or lines or whatever, but not earth shattering & certainly not the worst or even bad at all, just some awkward dialogue at different points

I flipping LOVED this book! I adored Lily and her journey to discovering who she really is. Oozing with body positivity, lush relationships, a wonderful single Mum and so much more. Lily’s story had everything I needed! 💙💙

Melt My Heart did just that. It genuinely did 'melt my heart".
I found this book to be un-put-down-able! I absolutely loved every page!
Although there were a few twists that I did guess - Senor Mango Sorbet! I enjoyed how the author allowed events to play out.
A great read for anyone who is worrying about University, friendships, relationships and various other teenage woes.
It was light hearted and funny in parts and had me reading my fastest at others because I NEEDED to know how the events worked out.
It was not what I expected from the blurb, but that was nice surprise!
I would 100% recommend to others!

Teenage me needed this book! It's so lovely
