I was so interested in the premise and so disinterested in its execution... This would have been a much more engrossing book had the villain never been explicitly depicted. Because False Memory's big bad is mega lame.

Dean Koontz does it again, he is honestly the only author I can read and know I'll never be bored because I'm too busy stressing to figure out what's going on and what's going to happen next and when will the characters finally know- and, you know the drill.
This book is more psychological than many of his others, particularly because it deals with the manipulation of said field, but it is as thrilling as the rest, and like always, never a dull moment.
Some important notes that bear mentioning: first, reviews are highly subjective, including mine. My opinion is meant to give an overview of what I saw/felt when I read it (and how it may or may not have made my brain explode). What I see might not be what you see, and what I like (or don't) might not be what you enjoy, which is just fine. My advice to anyone looking into a book? Read the premise, and if it interests you enough, give it a chance and form your own opinion.

Good, but probably longer than it needed to be. Got under my skin.

Uhm this was trash.
The concept was maybe??? Intriguing at first. And by at first I mean like halfway through the book when the author finally got to the point!!!
But this was entirely too long and DUMB. And also gross. The characters weren't developed hardly at all. There were so many random things that happened, was that the point? This book is on a bunch of lists of like best thriller books of all time and shit and like....what....
Disappointment. Waaaay too long. Don't waste your time and mental energy!!
**CORRECTION**
This book is on Goodreads list of BEST BOOKS EVER
WHAAATTTTT
Bet you that list was created by an old white man cause it was written by one. No thank you!!

Pretty disgusting with some of the descriptions, great characters, and a few twists.

This book was hard to get into in the beginning. VERY descriptive. I ended up getting into the story and liking it a lot more than I expected in the end. Pretty creepy premise.
