Yes this reads a little slow, but the story is gripping with many plot twists.

Pretty great read, but about 100 pages too long. The first 200-some-odd pages were some of the most riveting I have ever read and it maintained a good pace right until the mid-400s where it just slowed way down for about 80 pages. It never got boring, exactly, but it got really redundant, repeating a lot of points needlessly. Then it picked up again until about 20ish pages in the late 600s/ early 700s, then finished well.
Intriguing plot, characters I really cared about, all that good stuff! Do recommend.

I really liked the book, up until the end. The end was such a disappointment, and one that only Koontz seem to be able to come up with.

This book had a really good plot line, but it was so incredibly slow. I really struggled to get through it, and it took me a few months to finish. I'm glad that I am finally done reading it.
As I said, I believe this book had great potential and I wish that it was delivered in a better manner.

“Life is a train ride, and at the many stations along the route, people important to us debark, never to get aboard again, until by the end of the journey, we sit in a passenger car where most of the seats are empty.”

Wowza. This book had so many twists and turns I didn’t expect. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but did feel like parts were repetitive and drawn out. This puppy is 750 pages and could have probably been quite a bit shorter. It’s a long one, but I’d say it’s worth the read if you like psychological thrillers!

Although the synopsis had little correlation with the actual plot, the book was interesting. It was a bit of a drag, 750 pages but I genuinely enjoyed it and couldn’t imagine another shorter alternative.

If you like your thrillers wrapped up in a box with a bow, this is the one for you.
TW: Rape, Murder, Suicide, Graphic descriptions of mutilation, child death mention
Dean Koontz has outdone himself once again. This thriller had me jumping through hoops to get to the finish. The villain reveal was outstanding. I loved seeing the villain's mindset and thought processes they went through to justify what they were doing.
False Memory is action-packed, from a slow build-up that will leave you questioning your own sanity, to a climax leaving you out of breath. There is absolutely no dull moment in this novel, no point at which I wanted to skip a chapter or skim a page.
Martie Rhodes has been bringing her dear friend Susan to see a doctor for her agoraphobia. One morning, Martie is hit with her own inexplicable phobia, a fear of herself. As she seeks treatment from the doctor treating Susan, her husband Dusty starts noticing a bit of missing time in his days. Is he losing his mind along with his wife? Slowly piecing together clues, the duo comes to a conclusion you won't want to miss out on. Once the villain is revealed, the psychological play begins.
This novel will leave your heart racing, enrage you, shock you, and more!
