It's a good book and fun read, though there were several instances when I had to suspend my sense of realisam. Howard did an excellent job building tension in this novel.

Got bored...kept reading...skimmed last half of the book. Not recommended.

Great story telling here. The suspense was intriguing, the story believable, and the romance sweet.

aaah brought back my nightmares of bears that i had when i saw "The Revenant". But it was really interesting to read from perspective of the bear.

Decent story. I am a fan of her writing. I wanted more action rather than hearing about sitting in a cabin for a few days where they mostly slept. A little boring at times but interesting storyline involving a psycho, a murder of bear, and romance.

Liked the wilderness survival aspect and the mutual respect the two characters developed for each other. Would definitely be looking over my shoulder for bears if I was camping in the area, but I liked the book!

I felt no connection to any of these characters. I've been fairly disappointed with her last few books, and this was no better. I'm still a huge fan of hers, but I'm not really enjoying the stories as I once was.

There seemed no point to this, the suspense was minimal, the love story barely existent and the characters disappointing.
