Cute story of a gentle demon and a faulty witch.

Super cute novella with a familiar-less witch and a demon who form a new kind of bond.

Loved this one, I'd have been delighted if it had been a full-length book but even in a shortened form, it was still a lovely romance.

Wash and AJ were seriously cute together, I adored AJ's 'fish out of water' vibes and Wash's kindness was just what you'd hope to find if you were a newly freed demon wandering the Upper Realms for the first time.

Medium steam as they've all been in this universe but still great connections.

4.5 really!

Awwww, I like Wash and AJ! It seems that the end was just the beginning, hopefully we can read more of them!

I really enjoy this universe! :)

Quick, fun, low angst read that gives us more info on the characters in this universe.

What a sweet story! This world is one in transition after accords have been signed to give all beings more leeway than ancient tradition allowed, and I've read many of the novels that take place in it. You don't have to have done that, though.

The author's world and mine are similar; most beings are basically good, despite appearances. There are apparent conflicts all around the demon, this world is so different from his past. The would-be witch is naturally helpful, and I very much enjoyed the timing for the crisis and resolution. Recommended if you're new to the author. Then go read Cutie and the Beast, because it's hilarious and sweet and, as a novel, it's so much deeper a story.
