A quick audiobook I listened to while at work. I loved the aspect of single dads just trying to do best by their kids and finding love together. Super sweet, and had a fake dating and hate to love plot that I always enjoy.

The Dad Code is set in Kennedy, Illinois, offering a captivating narrativcentreded on non-competitive soapbox derbies and the renowned status of Matthew, son of Gideon Chase. The introduction of the Perrys into town marks a transformative moment. This is my thrid book by Imogen Markwell-Tweed and so far my favourite. I'm a sucker for small town dads romance. So, I loved  the set up and all of the characters feel quite real. But the endig was quite rushed, like in most of her books.

Three stars, the story felt a bit rushed and I feel could have been better if expanded. The transition from enemy to lover happened quickly. I liked that the kids pulled it together.

Sweet, adorable and entertaining.
A short read to pass the time.
In honor of the truth, I would have liked it to be longer because the protagonists, the story and the setting could have been elaborated in greater depth.
