I really wish I had learned some of these lessons as a kid! The characters are all so kind, makes me want to be a better person.

I enjoyed this one even more than the first installment, and I really liked Work It Out! A school dance is the moment in middle school, and Miller lets her characters feel everything that goes into it, without an ounce of condescension. Caring about being the only one without a date at a dance is not silly to a middle schooler. Anxiety about your body and how you're going to look in your dress (unfortunately) does not wait until you move up to YA. These things are High Stakes and they're happening now.

Beth and Chanda's friendship is so authentic and I loved how the older sisters/mothers provided guidance in their moments of need. Middle-grade books about crushes and school dances are fewer and further between than they ought to be, and I know a ton of kids at our library that are going to devour this one!

Really enjoyed the sequel to Besties Work It Out!

Love the discussions in the book over representation and complicated sibling relationships and so much more!

Really like the development of the characters as well as the message of you are wonderful the way you are and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. Also, no one has a perfect life!

Hopefully there will be another instalment!

A fast read.  Another great addition to the Click series. It's hard sometimes living up to what you think are your family's expectations of you are but even harder when you put all that pressure on yourself.
Beth and Chandra are best friends getting ready for their first school dance.  But Chandra wants everything to be perfect.  Beth, on the other hand, just wants to enjoy it.  With these two best friends not seeing eye to eye, they begin to bicker. At the end of the day, they are best friends and will learn to make the best out of any situation.
