In college, my friends and I used to get drunk and read poetry aloud to each other. Tio Pablo was an eternal favorite.

Tonight I can write the saddest lines. I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.

Gorgeous. I feel heartsick.

really liked this, really beautiful imagery. my favorites: "So That You Will Hear Me," "We Have Lost Even," "Your Breast Is Enough."

lagi mabok neruda...

Spanish language book of poetry. I feel I may need to do some research on the text and its importance, because largely, the text fell flat for me. A lot of the natural imagery felt repetitive. However, my experience of reading Spanish language poetry is limited, and I do believe that reading poetry in a second language is probably the most challenging aspect of it. Overall, I don’t think I would recommend it, as I have read some bilingual poetry I have resonated with more.

This book is just pure perfection. Let's leave it at that.

From the master Pablo Neruda.

Beautiful and haunting. couldn't shake off the unsettled wistfulness that lingers on at the end of each poem
