Poorly paced. Everything was way too fast. Spicey scenes were good, but the overall plot and world building was poorly done. I loved the vipers, each male character was amazingly written, but I couldn’t stand the FMC. Her dialogue was cringey at times. Felt like the book was longer than it needed to be. But the action was fantastic, the male characters were great, and the spice scenes were 🔥

Beautiful, this was so beautifully done I loved every minute of it up to the very end. It pulled so many emotions out of me. I laughed, I cried, I was sad, I was angry, I was scared, I was excited, the whole thing was so enjoyable and by the ending I was at peace. I am thoroughly in love with the Vipers.

DNF @ 40% (some mild spoilers ahead)

The four love interest’s (Ryder, Kenzo, Garret and Diesel) suck. I would say that somewhere along the way their brains stopped developing so that’s why whenever I read their POV’s they sound like 14-15 year olds (could even argue for 13). Only this can explain why they do too much throughout the book. Am I supposed to feel sorry for an incel or a rapist or a pyromaniac.

As for Roxy… girl stand up. It’s sad to say that I liked her character up until the point they kidnapped her. I truly wished that the four men she beat up in the beginning were the actual vipers but of course that can’t happen because as always the men are protected by plot armour. I’m tired of authors making the main character super badass and unbeatable until they come across their love interest and suddenly they’re the weakest person in the world and can’t even land a punch. It’s okay to allow the women to beat a man up.

I’m still trying to find the redeeming qualities in the men that she says makes her love them. All the male interest’s do is scream at her, degrade her, keep her prisoner and play with her but yet I’m supposed to agree that the men truly love her. Trying to find the romance in this book is harder than trying to find where’s Wally. It’s so obvious that she’s suffering from Stockholm syndrome because how else do you fall in love with psychopaths and sociopaths who consistently treat you as a toy for their pleasure. Also are we supposed to believe that Roxy has all the power in this book but in actuality how is she supposed to fight four steroid taking, over noxious and controlling men. Let’s not even start on the level of violence the men commit that can rival actual serial killers.

The sold to 1D by my father story’s on wattpad hit better than this.

Listen...this book started out really promising. Dark romance? Heck yeah. Smut? Give it to me! But at about 90%, all I could think is, "why is this book so GD long?" The unnecessary spicy scenes. The chapters of just info dumping. The cringey descriptions. I just can't do it anymore. You could take at least 3 of the unnecessar  spicy scenes out, and I swear this book would be 200 pages shorter. And much easier to get through.

I loved the tropes and the bases of this story, I found the men to be very lovable. Roxanne's constant monologues just took it down for me, she was very repetitive and it felt like filler. Despite that I did have a lot to love throughout it, she was just lacking for me.

It’s a very dark romance and the disbelief I needed to have that love can develop from this was too much for me.
