The writing isn't great, some of it doesn't make sense. There were sentences and paragraphs I would try to reread trying to make them make sense and still couldn't figure it out.
I almost DNFd 3-4 times in the book, but I heard so many great things I kept gritting through it hoping it would get better.
Also a few plot holes, there is stuff that just "happens" out of nowhere. The entire last 100 pages or so of the book is content trying to wrap up the story, it feels rushed and just kind of thrown in there. Plus a lot of cringey moments and tons of snake/viper metaphors that are somewhat unnecessary.
Definitely not my favoutie.
