I just wanted it to end but there were like 30 more pages of sex scenes and I just couldn’t do it. This book should have only been 300 pages as it only took place within the span of a week. While the author makes a point to have Roxy explicitly say she likes all the abusive and Stockholm syndrome-y shit they do to her, I can’t get past it. It’s one thing to role play and have rough sex, it’s another thing entirely to read about it happening to someone else without them talking about hard and soft limits or safe words. Like are we the reader to assume that Roxy has absolutely no limit for pain as pleasure, or that she just coincidentally met these 4 insane assholes who coincidentally have the same exact kinks as her? I think I would have found it slightly more bearable if the author had one of the guys cross a limit for her and then there were consequences to that and they talked about it. The only person who’s line gets crossed as far as sex is concerned is garret, because he was traumatized by a woman. Roxy was beat by her father and yet these bastards are constantly slamming her up against walls and cutting her and choking her until she can’t breathe. You can’t tell me that wouldn’t have triggered a flashback. You can’t. This is just another instance where women are painted to be objects for a man’s pleasure and never the other way around. I fucking hated this book. I wish I could chuck it at K.A. knights head. For legal reasons that’s a joke but this book sucked. If you have sexual trauma DONT READ IT.

I picked up the book solely for the smut but I surprisingly enjoyed the plot. The main characters were all weirdly crazy and broken in their own way. The smut was decent but got repetitive. The lead up to the sex with each partner was pretty much the same. This book would have been 5 stars if it was about 200-300 pages shorter. The middle of the book became fluff, random killing because the could and the same sex in places. This book is full or kink-play and can be very triggering. Check to make sure it is safe for you before you read it!

“I’m falling in love with you, darling,” I murmur, and she freezes. “Don’t, love has a way of changing to hate,” she whispers”

I gave this a 4 star for smut but 3 stars for plot. Overall, it was entertaining.
This was a thick baby. I didn't know what to expect.
I was like what plotline it's going to give me with 600 pages for a standalone.
A few chapters in I was like, oh okay, there's little plot in here but a lot of smut, so I accepted it and enjoyed the entertainment of it.

The characters are definitely highlight of the entire show.
All crazy personalities put together, up to no good, lots of fighting, blood, and violence. It was pure chaos.
All the characters had their fun moments. I enjoyed the banter and teasing we have between Roxy and all the men.
Throughout the plotline, we see a storyline of each character's personality and history.
They each have their own chemistry with Roxy and how each of their connection is special to them.

I love Diesel. Yes, he is the craziest, but he made everything so fun.
As the story goes, I fall in love with him more and more after each page.
Kenzo is such a baby sweetheart. I will go to him for some loving and cuddles.
Garrett is a badass too, with such a softie, fluffy heart, honestly.
Ryder, the boss, is such a dad and mom. He takes care of everybody.

I think there is a mix of smut and action.
Although sometimes the plotline makes little sense, where you don't really know what's their main purpose or mission is but the action is so badass and so dramatic, I love it.
I want a bonus novella or something.
I want to see them as Dads, please.

“Vipers never die. Vipers never fall…unless it’s for a tattooed, foul-mouthed bar owner.”

I had seen this book all over TikTok and it seemed really polarizing with some people loving and some hating it and DNFing it, after reading it, I totally get it. This one is DEFINITELY not for everyone and for sure don't let your children take a peek. This one takes some dark turns so make sure to check all trigger warnings before giving it a go.

Roxy owns a dive bar and lives in the underside of the city. She has been through some shit and come out the other side stronger. Then, her dad sells her to the most powerful gang in the city to pay his debts. What starts as a kidnapping quickly turns into something... else. The steam was super steamy but the story was also interesting and I always wanted to keep reading to find out what was going to happen.

The one thing I had to overlook was the typos and weird formatting in a few places. This is a self-published book so you just have to expect things like that and move on. Compared to lots of others I've picked up, it was few and far between that I found a typo.

This book counts for Popsugar 2022 for a #booktok recommendation.

Okay, 600 page book without any plot. It's pretty much smut cover to cover.

The writing isn't great, some of it doesn't make sense. There were sentences and paragraphs I would try to reread trying to make them make sense and still couldn't figure it out.

I almost DNFd 3-4 times in the book, but I heard so many great things I kept gritting through it hoping it would get better.

Also a few plot holes, there is stuff that just "happens" out of nowhere. The entire last 100 pages or so of the book is content trying to wrap up the story, it feels rushed and just kind of thrown in there. Plus a lot of cringey moments and tons of snake/viper metaphors that are somewhat unnecessary.

Definitely not my favoutie.

Look was this messed up? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Yes 🙈 I honestly really liked Roxy as a main character she made me laugh. I liked all the guys (Ryder was my least favorite, he bored me). I do wish there was a little more Kenzo and Garrett because I loved them. D was something he made me laugh though. I do have to say the writing wasn’t very good especially during Ryders pov which is maybe why I didn’t like him as much.
