this was so unexpected! i wasn’t sure if this would really keep my interest or not but i had such a great time. the humor is slightly cringy but i enjoyed it lol. i loved the second chance aspect & the fake relationship. i do wish it wasn’t closed door/fade-to-black - LIKE COME ON she literally name-drops her v!brat0r in the first few chapters lmao. overall, i had a good time and can’t wait to read the next one!

⚠️: bullying, misogyny, fire/fire injury, violence, child abuse, sexism, toxic relationship (mmc and his father)

pretty cute, the shifter stuff wasn’t too bad thankfully, just a little bland and cookie cutter.

The whole forcing people into relationships just gives me the creeps. Even if they do fall in love, it’s like is it love or is it Stockholm syndrome. Just not into it, I like explicit consent.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC of this book.

When Violet learns she will have to undergo a witchbond even though she doesn't have magic, and her ex Alpha shifter Lincoln is also needing a mate to continue as alpha, they spawn a fake dating scheme while they make plans to change the community. But maybe Violet isn't as magicless as she thought, and maybe the reason Lincoln abandoned Violet back when they were 18 was different than she thought...

This was a fun and cute paranormal romance! There is definitely good chemistry between the main characters and I enjoyed the development of their relationship. The urban fantasy world was interesting and I could definitely see reading a whole series of romances in this world! This is a fun read!

I was shocked this was an honest to god witch and werewolf book. I was expecting some like tumblr pagan witch stuff but no. Also when I read werewolf I was hoping for traditionally published omegaverse but alas no to that too. But since all my hopes were dashed in the first three pages my expectations were rock fucking bottom which allowed me to enjoy the super weird Shadowhunter-Downworlder lifestyle of this book. It was corny and weird and alpha-male-y but I had quite a few laughs so I didn't hate it entirely.
