This was an okay book it wasn't bad but I feel kinda disappointed with how okay it was considering I very much remember enjoying the second book.
'Not the Witch you Wed' is April Ashers first book in her Supernatural Singles trilogy. The eldest by 5 minutes of the triplets granddaughters of the current magical Prima, the highest ranking witch and part of the supernatural council is Violet Maxwell who unfortunately is a complete dud. Despite being a complete let down powerless Violet suddenly finds herself at the mercy of the supernatural council when they tell her that its not the next prima but the first born of a triad that is forced into a witch marriage bond. Backed into a corner she finds herself making a deal with the devil, the North American pack alpha wolf shifter Lincoln Throne. The two decide to forge an alliance and pretend to fake date in order to get the council off their backs.

I think I have a problem with second chance romances. There was nothing wrong with this book, it was a cute light fluff read with a paranormal fantasy element. I enjoyed it. I'm pretty sure I snorted out loud. I don't recall kicking my feet at any point or rooting for the couple or even feeling remotely invested. So maybe it's me and maybe I'm just in a slump because I've read a few books lately that I'm just not feeling it for the characters. So while I don't think I'll be clamouring to dive into this again or want to own a physical copy I did enjoy it enough to check it on libby again when in the need for something light.
I've already done book two which I think was a better book, or maybe it's just that it was my first introduction to this setting and world. I'm not sure about book three. Wolf shifters yes please, demons when done well, guardian angels? not really anything to draw me in.

I am so I love with this story. It was such a fun and exciting read. A magical event in the making.
Violet is a magic less witch, or the Maxwell Dud of the Maxwell triplets. Lincoln is the alpha leader trying to make a change in the shifter community, but faced with an impending predicament looming over him. But when the paths of these two cross again, a series of events that will change everything, is set into motion.
This book was a magical breath of fresh air. It was light and fun, yet intense and hot. I completely fell into a trance reading this delectable book. I could not put it down. The characters were amazing and so unique.
Overall this book is fun, serious, sad, hot and sweet. You will experience all sorts of emotions while reading this book. Linc and Vi embark on a beautiful journey of self discovery and embrace their true inner selves. I must say that I shed a few tears along the way. It was a moving story and I felt proud of the decisions that Linc made at the expense of his and his wolf's own heart.
It is so hard to review a book like this. One that draws a reader in and is loved from the very beginning. One where you want to get together with friends and discuss everything that happened. But alas I cannot do that in a review without spoiling it for others. Dang it!!! I truly enjoyed this story so much. It is not your normal romance, it is a cool world full of paranormals and humans living together in harmony. Aware that the one is real and exists.
The author set this up to turn into a highly addictive series. Hooking readers from the very first chapter, you are sure to become invested. I know I am.

Shifter romances are not usually my thing, but this one was a fun, quick read.
