This was... gross? A bit uncomfy but all in all decent. Probably someone's worst nightmare. I enjoyed it though, a very short and spooky read.

A horror story to be sure, but not as horrifying as if he had simply been left in the grave. His escape from his earthly confinement was meant to be the climax, but even there he couldn't seem to rest. Ultimately, he does survive the story, but I don't really think it's all that great. I've read better horror stories about being buried alive.

The short story started off dark but ended on a hopeful note. It delved into the idea of being buried alive. I was reminded of one particular movie I watched, which I can't recall off the top of my head at the moment but it was the one where the victim heard that his own friend and girlfriend had planned against him. It was more about a surgery, but the similarities in being able to feel and hear but having things done to them are strikingly similar. Another movie on being buried alive was the one with Ryan Reynolds, but I like this short story better.
