This is my new favorite book. The amount of times I laughed, my jaw dropped, and I sobbed. I never cried this much from a book. It was perfect<33

"God, this man. He was going to kill me with sweetness overload."

I stayed up late last night because I could not put it down. I am usually wary of viral books, but this book deserves it. This book will have you giggling with hope and crying for justice.

There are a lot of heavy subjects that Bree and Archer have to deal with which makes my heart ache for them. They found each other at a vulnerable time in their lives and they each gave each other space to heal and learn how to trust again while still allowing feelings to develop.

I despised Victoria, she was cruel to a CHILD.
I couldn't imagine how bad his uncle felt in his last days knowing he was convinced by Victoria not to allow surgery that would have given Archer a chance to speak again. Let's not forget how she helped her son, Marcus, rape Alyssa. She was just rotten to the bone.

When you think history will repeat itself,
Archer goes on a journey to find himself, and his independence and I think in that moment he truly saved himself from having to experience what his parents went through.
It was fascinating to read how Archer worked through his emotions and thoughts. It truly made me love his character! I loved Bree for being patient with him and
sticking through it because she knew he was worth it. She saw the potential even when he couldn't see it yet.

Truly a beautifully written story with raw moments that will leave Bree and Archer in your thoughts after finishing the book.

The story is sweet, although it dragged on a little at times. The sex scenes seemed a little immature and desperate, almost as if they were wattpad stories. There could have been less of them, too. My biggest pet peeve with this book was the repetitiveness of several of the phrases. Every time I read the word “delicious” I cringed. It would make a good drinking game though... Take a shot every time you see the phrases delicious, glittering, smiled a small smile (or any form of this same phrase) or I drank him in. Those were on every other page it seemed. Also, the “molest” comment was a little uncalled for and weird. It was definitely out of place and random. Aside from some immature writing and repetitive phrases, the story was okay. Definitely wasn’t a tear jerker though (I cry easily when I connect with a book.) This one just didn’t do it for me. All in all, it was alright. Wouldn’t recommend on my own, but wouldn’t stop someone from reading it if they wanted to.

3.75

I’m going 3.75 stars. This book was super cute and I’m obsessed with Archer! I want to protect him at all costs because he’s just so pure. The story was good and I enjoyed most of the characters. It was great to see asl representation in a book. I liked the growth for both Archer and Bree. My main turn off has to do with
the implied sexual adult against Archer and how Bree’s reaction wasn’t recognizing that it was 100% rape. I know nothing actually happened to Archer at the strip club, but the reader, and Bree, didn’t know that initially so I was upset seeing Bree say that Archer made the “choice” to go in the back room. <\spoiler> Other than that though this book had me smitten
