The more she claimed to treat him like everyone else the more it felt like she didn’t. AND the relationship started to make me uncomfortable. It felt like she was mothering him the way mums with neurodivergent children gently encourage them to try new things and meet new people. So in one chapter she was parenting him and the next was a spicy scene where she was teaching him how to have sex. Just kind of gives me the ick.

The writing style very much fits with the young adult genre, despite some explicit scenes. However, the character development is strong and the two main characters equally lovable for different reasons.

The book touches on some important topics without trivialising them. If you enjoy a good love story then it’s not one to be missed.

It read like a YA book with some added sex scenes. Everyone says this book made them sob but maybe I'm cold as ice because at no point did I cry. I felt bad for what archer went through as a child yes, and bree witnessing her father's death. Insta-love trope. And the ending was so cliche and predictable.

This is my new favorite book. The amount of times I laughed, my jaw dropped, and I sobbed. I never cried this much from a book. It was perfect<33
