Absolutely amazing. What I loved about this story is how much of a second chance romance it was. The heartbreak, the turmoil, the passion, everything felt so real and radiated from the pages. From the pain that Winter was going through when he found out the truth finally of why Birdie left him to Birdie and her living with her regret of how things went down. It gave such a depth to the story that it blew me away. I honestly devoured this book once I started it. I could not put it down because of the flow and the writing by Levine.
While this book takes place in the Storm world, there isn't the focus on the club business. It is completely a story about winning back the one you love, how you cannot deny your love for that one you are destined to be with to how a broken relationship can be mended even with years apart. Levine packs a punch in the story with the raw emotions that Winter and Birdie give us. I am honestly glad I waited for the whole story instead of reading it through the newsletter because I would be clawing to get more of this story. I needed it all. And it was beyond worth the wait!

Birdie Beaumont is having to confront her past. Loved her mom – she was the one person who took my attention away momentarily. She’s there to help Birdie get that chance. The author knew the right moment to pull my attention back to what was really important. Winter Morrison wants to grab the bull by the horns in order to get his second chance. But the thing about second chances, they don’t always run smoothly. I’m not a fan of his mode of transportation but if he came with it, I just might change my mind.

Our author made it very easy, maybe I should say made it hard, to get lost in the world she has created. The problem wasn’t putting the book down but finding the perfect stopping point – I couldn’t find it. Part of what made it hard was all the push and pull going on. Even though this was part of an MC series, this story was all about our couple. It’s about the pain they’re both feeling and wanting to see if they find their happy place – preferably together. We have an ending where there’s no period. It’s like we’re held in place waiting to take our next step. It will be interesting to see where that step is going to take us.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
