This is a new favourite. I love the strength of character that Anne possesses - she's kind, thoughtful, and intelligent. She's a quiet heroine, unlike her contemporaries. I also loved Wentworth - his professions and writing are par above all. This is a romance novel about longing and lost loves. I found it quite refreshing. And one of my favorite characters in the book is Mr. Elliot (the younger one).

I am quite decided on the matter that Mr. Wentworth is by far the greatest Austen Hero, and Anne Elliot is without question my most beloved Austen Heroine. It is such a sweet, such a charming romance, and full of such quiet passion. Absolutely delightful.
