Kristin Linklater's Freeing the Natural Voice is a deeply involved exploration of the voice and all it can do. Her work (and yours, ultimately) draws emphasis in separating habitual activity within the body and using that to find a "free" voice.

A few things to note:
1. This is a guidebook. Each section has a suggested amount of days and times to follow the exercises with, and if you are looking for a quick fix or solution to vocal discovery, this is not for you. Her processes are fundamental and require time and effort.

2. This book is primarily for acting and actors, but has great content for anybody looking to explore the body-mind-voice connection (singers, teachers, lawyers, etc)

3. This book is incredibly imagery heavy. Not all of the explanations and images worked for me, so take that with a grain of salt.

Overall, tons and tons of wonderful information and techniques to access one's voice with ease. Very thankful to have read this book.
