Overall, a good solid read, but it certainly has it's flaws; I'd give it ideally a 3.5 out of 5. In terms of a mystery, Patterson still has the ability to captivate his reader and keep the pace moving at per usual. Where this book seems to fall short is the premise that it's the continuation of the series we (as readers) have come to want or accept for a WMC novel. There has been a steady decline in the cohesive bond the women have with each other and even less involvement of the four collaborating to solve a crime. We get minimum details from Claire, Cindy, or Yuki throughout this novel. Instead, it becomes obsessed with the questionable behavior of Lindsay's husband (Joe) and her ability to allow the woman across the hall spend more motherly time with Julie than she (Lindsay) does.
*SPOILER ALERT* Another good book in the series but I still see several little inconsistencies from the earlier books. Lindsay is told she can't cook, but she was a good cook early in the series. Did she forget how?
There's a line saying she hadn't hesitated when Joe proposed. Ummm that's EXACTLY what she did. I'd call keeping the ring in a box in a drawer for several months hesitation.
Joe. The perfect man. Handsome, awesome Joe who she loves so dearly. She seems to have an awfully easy time throwing him out. Her passionate love for him seems a bit superficial. Particularly when you see that she lets what others tell her sway her feelings without hearing Joe's side of things. And, seriously, Lindsay is a SFPD detective. She's been in law enforcement for over a decade. Are we really supposed to believe that she's surprised to find out that her former FBI and Homeland Security husband has some secrets? Finding out that he had also been CIA...oooo shocking. Seriously? She's honestly surprised that he hasn't spilled every detail of that part of his life? I like Lindsay, but she seems a bit idiotic and clueless sometimes.

I am sick and tired of Joe! He’s for the streets and my girl Lindsey has to move on. I’m only continuing the series in the hopes she does just that. 😤 Also the cases in this book were not interesting!
Fast paced and full of innuendo. Leaves you hanging at the end!
Joe is up to something and Lindsey is not happy about it.

Sometimes I just need a quick mystery thriller that I can fly through in just a few hours, and James Patterson's Women's Murder Club books are just that. The 15th Affair did not disappoint. James Patterson takes Lindsay Boxer and the other women in the Women's Murder Club through another intriguing case.
I’m normally so obsessed with the murder club series but this one wasn’t the best. It left off with a cliff hanger, which I didn’t really like, considering a reader should be able to pick up any of one of the books from this series and not be lost. I also don’t think any of the other books in this series have ended this way.
I was not a fan of the whole Joe/Lindsay bit. I understand that this is a murder club book that has all of the ladies and will usually focuses on Lindsay. I just feel like this book had too much of her. She completely doubted Joe right away and didn’t even let him explain to her when/why he came back. Was it just me or was their marriage pretty solid before except for the June/Jane Froindorfer (I can’t remember her name exactly) incident?
Hoping the next one will be better! Still excited to read them all!
