3.98 AVERAGE

4.5 Stars! I'm so glad I picked this book up. I adore Summer and Caden is a fantastic book hero. The story sucked me in; the secondary characters are every bit as compelling as the main couple and the book is a perfect mix of humor, angst and love story.

I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book.

Been a while since the last time I read Tijan's books. She's famous for school based story and again this book is not different than her usual stuff.

The plot is pretty good although there are parts that confused me. Especially with heroine's back and forth attitude that is so classic, I'm this close to DNF-ing. Summer's definitely not my favorite heroine. I mean, Caden is your normal teenage Hero, brooding but gentle, only needs a nudge and he'll protect you. But Summer, she's simply way too childish and come across needy.

And Kevin. Oh my, Kevin. I really hope Tijan gave me an alone time with him so I can smack the life out of him. He's a self centered a$$hole.

Overall, I liked this book. It's not my favorite but I certainly enjoyed it.

Holy Freaking Smoke

This author and I have a love-hate relationship.
I love her books but I also hate all the anxiety that I feel when I read it

And this one was no different. Flippen hell it was good. I loved Caden, wanted to kill Kevin and Summer oh man how she annoyed me. I mean seriously clue in to what Kevin was about.

But in the end, I loved it.

Can we get Colton's story???

I just reread this book and i am so surprised by how average this is?? It has really really cheesy dialogue, but i still love it because it has all the dramatic tropes. This is the book that sent me down a spiral of romance novels. Heres to three years of obsessively reading romance.

I love these college books with all the drama, and this one was just perfect. I read it years ago, and it was time for a reread, and it did not disappoint. I was more disappointed in myself that I forgot how great this story is; emotional and funny. How full of drama... and how full of Caden. I forgot how much I loved his character. And let's not forget summer, our queen, who should be able to wear a tiara whenever she wants, what a fun character she is. I want to be friends with her. It almost felt like I was reading it for the first time again.

I have been having a love/hate relationship with Tijan's books but this one here is a winner!

Summer had a crush on her step brother, Kevin. Now in the same University as him, she feels like this will be their time to get together, finally. Then she met Caden Banks. She thought Caden was an asshole, and she thought he was a pain. Soon she began to realize, Caden is everything Kevin is not and she just might like that.

One thing I have noticed about Tijan is, all her books have terrible parents in some way or form. I will be writing more on my blog!

Going into this book I was blind. I have heard lots about it I didn't read the blurb so when we heard about Kevin I was like for real?? Kevin no alpha male can be called Kevin and then be turned out to be a dick I couldn't understand summer wanting anything to do with him! And then in steps Caden! Oh yay now we are talking! I devoured this book in one sitting once I got on board with Caden. The sexual tension between Caden and summer was so hot I could barley handle it.
This book is full of laughs drama and too much heartbreak it's awful but Tijan wrote it all so perfectly I loved every minute of this book. Summer is absolutely hilarious I don't think I have ever liked a female character so much. I can't wait to read more books by this author and I will be recommending it to anyone who will listen to me for more than two seconds.

I have heard high praise for Tijan's books so I thought "Why not read something from her?". I chose Anti-Stepbrother and to say I was disappointed is an understatement...

This book was boring, childish, filled with unnecessary drama and uninteresting characters. And don't let me start on the writing style. It gave me a whiplash. The dialogues were, without a doubt, the worst I have ever read!

How can people give such high ratings to such crappy books? I mean the heroine and her inner monologues drove me crazy. I don't even think there is a point in explaining further about how I felt about this abomination of a book.

1 star is already too much.
