1000% yes! I loved this book and just blew thorough it, I could not put it down. I absolutely love Caden. He’s broody, mysterious and bad boy on the outside but he’s really just a sweet loving and caring guy. I was not a huge fan of Marcus until the road trip weekend that’s when he grew on me and after that he started to open up. Love Avery she’s the best friend anyone would die to have. Summer was all over the place one minute she would have so much backbone and no one could walk over her and the next she was a spineless child especially when it came to Kevin. I did like her character i just hated when she would cave. And I HATED Kevin he’s just what he is portrayed as, slimy and a snake. I think towards the end he may have finally redeemed himself but we will never know. I really wish this wasn’t a stand alone I’d love more of all these characters and want more Colten and Diego!
Anti-Stepbrother is a new standalone by Tijan. It's the perfect story about 'you don't always get what you want, but you may just get what you need.' Summer follows her stepbrother, Kevin, to college with delusions of him falling in love with her. On her first night she meets one of his fraternity brothers, Caden. He's arrogant, gorgeous, sexy, popular and a real asshole. When she keeps running into him and he's actually helping her and being nice, she's rethinking the asshole thing. There's something about him, beyond the hotness. He's a nice guy. He's real and he's honest and they actually becomes friends. Real friends. They hang out, drink, watch movies. Then things heat up. Holding hands, snuggling on the couch. One of the things Caden loves about Summer is that she's a little crazy. She says the funniest, most random things. She's nothing like any girl he's ever met before. There's something about her that calls to him. She calms him and he likes being with her. A lot. When he needs her, she's there. No questions asked. He realizes he wants more, but can he trust that she's not still hung up on her stepbrother? Summer has feelings for Caden that have nothing to do with her stepbrother. And while people hate her just because he's her family, she has to fight for herself. She used to be quiet and stay in the shadows and now she stands up for herself and goes after what she wants. And she thinks she wants Caden. Will Caden believe her when she says she's over Kevin? Can Summer finally admit what's really going on? I love Caden and Summer. He's smart, sexy and totally digs her and her quirkiness. Summer is funny, silly and a breath a fresh air! I laughed, cried, swooned, and laughed some more. I also adored the secondary characters. Loyalty, friendship and family are sometimes all we have.
“What are we doing here?”
I leaned forward, my gaze lingering on his lips. “I didn’t really think it through.”
“And now?”
“Still not thinking it through.”
“You’re okay with that?”
That truth exploded in me. I wanted him. I wanted this but it was more. I needed this.
I didn’t answer.
I closed the distance between us.
Hot damn. Caden was a sex weapon. No guy should be this good in bed. It was too dangerous.
“Dangerous, huh?” He lifted his head up.
I paused. “I was talking out loud, wasn’t I?”
He laughed, bending down so his lips rested over mine. “You do that quite often.”
“I do?”
“I rather like the play by play of how awesome I am in bed.” His lips brushed over mine, that caress alone sent my heart in somersaults.

Ok, I went into this book blind but with an open mind.
There are 2 things I dislike greatly in my fiction one is drama for the sake of drama I like to call this dramalama.
Two is immaturity for a certain age, meaning if you’re in college then you shouldn’t act like you’re a freshman in high school.
This book had both those two very things but because I liked the character I thought ok it will get better. It didn’t at least not for me. And that is ok because we are all allowed to opinions.
Now I am not saying this is a horrible book and I hated it, NO that is not the case. I enjoyed a big chunk of it what I didn’t like were the 2 things I mentioned up there. ^^ I really enjoyed the side characters. I even really want Diego to get his very own story.
I guess I truly believed things would turn around and they just didn’t but I pulled through and finished the whole audiobook, I enjoyed the narration I think it was right for these characters.
I just wished for more maturity for College aged humans and less drama to make a situation seem juicier.

I have loved all of Tijan's books since I first read Fallen Crest Academy, and I have loved all the characters she has created, but I do believe Summer is my new favourite. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. So, thank you Summer and Tijan!
Tijan - You’ve done it again.
This college romance/finding yourself story follows Summer as she begins college crushing on her step brother; Kevin, to end up falling for one of his fraternity brothers; Caden instead.
It was obvious from the first meeting that Caden & Summer had a connection. It may have been an abrupt meeting, but they both unknowingly kept staring at each other. Even though Summer was there to see/try to start a romance with her step-brother; Kevin, it was obvious he was NOT the one, and Caden would feature in her life going forward.
This is a real friends to lovers romance, and I was all for it. The friendship between Caden & Summer is real and honest. They tell each other everything and ensure they are always honest - Even if it means what they say may hurt the other (with reason). I was screaming at Summer to realise Caden definitely was interested in her romantically and not to hold back!!!! Once they were together, the support they gave each other was everything. Was true love.
I would love to read a novella or epilogue about their future!!!! Please Tijan!

Anti-Stepbrother started off interesting enough. We are introduced to Summer who followed her stepbrother to college because she is in love with him. She has a run in with his fraternity brother whom she is attracted to as well. This continues on with relationships growing, falling apart, and changing. I think that if the book would have continued to center on the relationship dynamics between Summer, Caden, and Kevin I would have enjoyed it more and it would have received a higher rating from me.
