Without giving away anything, I was into Kaden as soon as he & Summer met and I immediately hated the step-brother, that didn't go away. I shook my head in Summer's reactions and then wanted to yell at both Summer and Kaden.
I'm back on forth on this book. I liked it and then didn't, I'm not one to DNF a book, so I kept charging through. There were a lot of parts where I was like 'Okay, the end?'
There was a lot of swoony parts, there was a lot of angst and then there was a bunch of too rushed resolved and unresolved things.

Let me preface by saying I do not read NA. This cover though made me press One-Click and then I remembered why I don't read NA.
My fault. Probably not the book, it's all me. Like Caden and Summer. Hated Kyle.
I'm too old for this drama.

This was a very easy read, with decent characters and pacing that kept readers hoping that the two characters get together all the way through.
The main characters are Summer and Cadan. Summer who has been in love with her stepbrother since before he became her stepbrother has moved to go to the same university as him. There she finds that his life is not what she expected, and his frat brothers including Cadan prove to be better friends than him. Cadan and Summer start off as friends but their relationship grows and the two become an item despite the obstacles in their way.
The most noteworthy secondary character is Kevin, Summer's stepbrother who she is in love with, he's a known womaniser who is sleeping with his frat brothers. He's a bit of an arse all the way through and proves to get better towards the end.
The storyline is not the most original but it is a quick and easy read. The pacing is good keeping us guessing all the way through until the very last chapter.

Meh. It was ok. They seemed more high school than collage IMO. Very slow burn and a lot of random talk. 3.5 stars
Unpopular opinion alert
Another book hard for me to review......... because I was entertained but I was also annoyed.
I haven't read a book by Tijan, but I been meaning too.
This was new so I was like why the hell not?
Lets start with Summer, it was like the author was trying to make her seem quirky, but she came across as just weird and confusing.

Pet peeve alert
Her self esteem is so freaking low, my friends think i'm hot, I don't know what they see.....,ect. I'm plain Jane
.
Why do authors do this?!, why can't we just get a strong heroine who knows her worth, and doesn't need a man to say she's beautiful to believe it.
The stepbrother, I didn't even know what to say about it him, I was confused as to why the author kept bring him back in the story.
The breakdown?........

This book entertained me, and not for reasons it should.
The steam level.... -10.
Carter is why this book get 3 stars,

I read this a couple years ago, and it's another top favorite from Tijan.
I love that Shes not scared to write the tropes that a lot of authors don't tend to touch.
She always has her own spin and flare on everything she writes, and this is no different.
This is a heroine who has/had feelings for her stepbrother, so slightly taboo... but instead falls for his teammate. Its angsty and intense... filled with drama and all the good stuff that will keep you turning the pages! You will fall for the hero and not want to put this book down... yet again the characters are flawed and real... just like you'd expect from this author.

Ok, I went into this book blind but with an open mind.
There are 2 things I dislike greatly in my fiction one is drama for the sake of drama I like to call this dramalama.
Two is immaturity for a certain age, meaning if you’re in college then you shouldn’t act like you’re a freshman in high school.
This book had both those two very things but because I liked the character I thought ok it will get better. It didn’t at least not for me. And that is ok because we are all allowed to opinions.
Now I am not saying this is a horrible book and I hated it, NO that is not the case. I enjoyed a big chunk of it what I didn’t like were the 2 things I mentioned up there. ^^ I really enjoyed the side characters. I even really want Diego to get his very own story.
I guess I truly believed things would turn around and they just didn’t but I pulled through and finished the whole audiobook, I enjoyed the narration I think it was right for these characters.
I just wished for more maturity for College aged humans and less drama to make a situation seem juicier.

I wasn't horribly impressed with the writing and the sex scenes could use tons more spice. I guess I'm just spoiled by reading so much Toni Aleo lately but I need more spice for my scenes otherwise it's just lame.
