i wrestled with this rating because i couldn’t decide between a 3 or 4. overall it’s an interesting take on the myth and i liked the concept of it. at times it was hard for me to read and attempt to finish since it felt like porn with a little bit of plot…but towards the end when they started to catch feelings i couldn’t stop.

It is my bad for continuously reading Katee Roberts, but each time I think maybe it will be good

Things I liked:
• switch POV
• the Garden, market, and pet store scenes.

Things I didn’t like
• The characters fall in love so fast. You love him/her? It’s been a week. Chill.
• The actual plot is identical to the wicked villains series. Especially the whole “tarnishing Persephone” change the name Persephone to Hercules and you have the book “Learn my lesson” which includes Zeus in Olympus soooo….? Land split up by multiple rulers. Only now they are named after Greek Gods instead of Disney Villians.
• Underground sex clubs. This felt like the most last minute thought.
• The action happens in the last 2-3 chapters. Just like every other book.

Will I still continue to read Katee Roberts hoping that one day the books will live up to the hype? Yeah probably.

I liked the legacy take on the mythology. Very very close to being my favourite, but there were too many questions left unanswered. I will be continuing with the series. 4 chilli peppers of spice and check TWs.
