This book was not what I expected. Mr. Coelho's writing I find somewhat confusing in that it is a mash-up of stories. Would have liked to know more about Nepal, though Instanbul was colorful. In all, I suppose we are each trying to find the Truth.

“The worst killing is that which kills the joy we get from life.”

I loved this book, it combines two of my passions, reading and travelling. The journey Paulo embarks upon, being a physical journey as well as spiritual one, was fascinating. It is beautifully written and allows you to travel through 70’s Europe and the free spirit world.

Paulo coelho's Hippe is about his own life experience, although I'm a huge fan of Paulo coelho's this book somehow did not captivated me as much as adultery, veronica decides to die or zahir. The 60's hippe culture has a major highlight as Paulo coelho once been a part of it. If you are a fan of Paulo coelho as well as interested to see the era of free love throug the eyes of a hippe sure pick this up.

This book had a slow start and it took some time for me to vibe with it. I’ve read other books by Paulo Coehlo, so I was excited about this autobiography. I love the idea and story, but I personally had higher hopes for the delivery. However, it left me yearning to travel and explore this earth, meet new people, and redefine what living means. I also learned a lot about the 70’s. (Jason Li, I did it, I wrote a review. ;)
