First of all, I didn’t imagine that I would finished reading Hippie during my summer vacation, because first I’d like to indulge to the feeling that finally after so many years of wanting to read the book even if I feel intimidated by it I have it, and second I’m simply intimidated by the book or Paulo Coehlo in general.

While I was reading the book, I didn’t expect that I’ll be able to comprehend the book easily which was soo shocking to me, to tell you honestly. However, I was so glad that I’m able to read it with ease; hence, I read almost half of the book in just one sitting.

I had big expectations for this book and in the end I didn't really get it. The story made little sense to me and ended very abruptly, the chararcters very not really likeable and lacked personality. But I did learn a little about the hippie movement and their thoughts/philosophy so that was interesting

Seen some bad reviews under this... I loved it!

Always get really excited reading Brazilian authors, or anything related. Paulo Coelho is a genius in any more ways than one. Reading this book at my age and at this point in my life is so special. I thought it would make me wish I had been born in a different time, but I don't. A lot of things were different for the better, and a lot for the worse. I couldn't make a journey like Paulo and Karla's today, at least not in the same way they did. Not a physical one. But mentally and spiritually, I will always carry his words with me.
