Aahhh I loved this book! Paulo Coelho is 100% my favorite author at this point. It's a good balance of philosophy, memoir, and adventure.

Read half in December and finally decided to pick it up again. It was good but a little bit hard to read because every sentence had to be a revelation. It was a little sad the way they parted but I do like it actually, that they helped each other grow but are not each other’s endings.

This book is story of Paulo and Karla, life being very strange to them and something is missing from the story, like what happened between them in Mexico after abduction of both, that's how it started , but then in flashback, they started journey from there trips of Amsterdam towards Nepal through various countries, while Paulo was in search of meaning and his steps towards sufism , Karla want to visit Nepal for its surroundings, where Paulo is Naive, innocent, self dependent , submissive and master of his ways of working, Karla is dominating, manipulative, proud and strong willed women, and she can control things that are in her hand and do as she please, Paulo once fall for her beauty but later know what he is searching for, and Karla was deeply fall for him the Night before they separated way in Istanbul for there journey, Although next time there didn't meet as both lost touch and lost there love but that's the beauty of writing this story

This was a reading experience. It gave me a bizarre nostalgia for something I've never even had - a glimpse into an era of pre-internet travel adventures, at a time when the counter-cultural hippie revolution was unfolding around the world.
