I really liked this book. It was a great pace that kept me engaged (read in 1 day). I also found the characters cute and interesting. Overall enjoyed the fact that it gave both plot and character development. Excited to get into the next 7 books.

I read this book after the third book in the Throne of Glass series, Heir of Fire. I found this book overall enjoyable, but as always there were novellas that I preferred to other ones. I found a few slower than others or just overall less entertaining and engaging. I will say that reading this after the third book definitely helped with comprehension, however if you’re more into chronological order and don’t want some events in this book to be spoiled, then I would suggest reading this book first before reading book one of the Throne of Glass Series.
