This book is slow and hard to get through at times, but critical to the overall TOG story. Don't skip it, but definitely don't read it first. I recommend reading it after Heir of Fire.

I’m glad I read this book in the order that I did… it made it so much more heart wrenching.

This was good and I definitely agree that it should be read first.

I read Throne of Glass first a while ago and was so freaking confused when it came to who Celeana was and what was even happening.  I went back and read this and will now go re-read Throne of Glass.

This was a bit slow the first few novellas but it was super helpful to learn who Celeana and Sam are. I remember really liking Throne of Glass so I’m excited to continue reading this series.
