I was unsure about this book to begin with, but ended up quite liking it. The writing is lovely and the characters are quaint and it will give you feelings, in a faded sort of way.

OMG I ACTUALLY TEARED UP. Figuring out who yhe man Jack was very easy once you get further in the book but I still felt betrayed. I thought I would not like it since I am not particularly a fan of the horror/paranormal genre but this book was incredible. I wish there was a sequel to it but there is none that I know of. I truely recommend getting it; it was beautiful.

Neil Gaiman escribe historias muy especiales y, aunque a mí me aburran mucho, reconozco su calidad

Such a great story. I really like the relationship between Bod and each of the characters. Neil Gaiman's voice is of course very pleasant to listen to, and really gave life to each character. Well done sir.

An interesting and unique story. A great read to get in the spirit of the season around Halloween. I was going to give this book a four until I re-read some of my favorite quotes. I also loved Bod. The idea of how much being surrounded by death makes this character into someone who longs to live was highly intriguing. Way to go! Also, here are the quotes that I loved:

“If I change my mind can I come back here?” And then he answered his own question. “If I come back, it will be a place, but it won’t be home any longer.”

“…taking his breath with it and all his tomorrows.”

“Things bloosom in their time. They bud and bloom, blossom and fade. Everything in its time.”

“If you dare nothing,
then when the day is over,
nothing is all you will have gained.”

“You're always you, and that don't change, and you're always changing, and there's nothing you can do about it.”

“It's like the people who believe they'll be happy if they go and live somewhere else, but who learn it doesn't work that way. Wherever you go, you take yourself with you.”
