This was probably my favorite of the Hunger Games books. It was a blend of nostalgia and horror that was the missing piece of this series. Devastation in nearly every chapter made it feel like more than a YA book.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK IT MAKES THE PAIN SO MUCH WORSE. What the fuck Suzanne Collins. I am literally bawling like a baby you did not need to break my heart like that. I genuinely am so heartbroken for him. I knew this was gonna be rough but I am left sobbing for a fictional man. I’m gonna hug my family extra hard tonight. 

A book has never affected me this much emotionally. The beginning and middle were hard but the ending is what really killed me.
