A classic Christie. Poirot, luxury train, the most famous jewels in the world, the South of France, an inheritance, romance, oh, and a murder. Ruth is married to Derek Kettering heir to a peerage of some kind. However, they are not getting on and Ruth's father (one of the richest men in the world) decides they should get divorced. This would be catastrophic for Derek. Meanwhile in St Mary Mead, Katharine Gray has come into a large inheritance from the old lady she was companion to. Everyone decides to go to the French Riviera on the same day by the Blue Train (which sounds lovely!), someone gets murdered. Who dunnit? Never fear Poirot is here to tell us all after an amusing tarradiddle with so many red herrings we could be in a fish market. Needless to stay I hedged my bets by guessing it was everyone in rotation. Its a good read for a rainy November.

This is one of my favourite Poirot mysteries! There are so many delightful characters and twists and turns. This book spends a lot more time with its key players than other Poirot stories, and many of them are so lovely and interesting (I adore Catherine so much, and Lennox of course) ♥️

me ha decepcionado un poco. aunque muy probablemente sea porque he pasado muchísimo de este libro en general y he leído como mucho una vez cada semana (y no me acordaba de la trama y de los personajes y bueno todo eso)
