They were on a family vacation, and although many people believe that she just left her family, Thomas was never convinced. Now, 12 years later, he's back to try and get some answers. What he didn't expect was to get back with the girl he tried to avoid having feelings for.
Kinsley is an aspiring journalist and best friend of Connor Rhodes, the younger brother of the Rhodes duo.
Old friends appear with whom they try to solve the case. So eight people take up what the police abandoned 12 years ago.
There are more and more suspects, but the picture did not come together.

Okay, I just finished the book this minute, and honestly, I couldn't tell you how I felt. Somehow everything and nothing at once. Something is missing, I still got everything. In a word, I have no idea what to do with myself.
Kinsley was a very likeable protagonist, full of life and determination, in short, she was immediately captivating. Thomas was a bit harder, but he also managed to charm me at the end (please, if someone told me such a thing, I would marry him on the spot). Braxton and Connor became the tip of my heart, they were really the cornerstone of good vibes and hope. The other characters were also very likeable.
The plot wasn't new, but at least it didn't hang out of line, it was easy to follow, and I liked that we could read from two perspectives. It gets extra points for the illustrations, I loved them. I wasn't really comfortable with the pace and the phrasing (and some other things), but this is only the first book of the author, she still has plenty of time to develop. She has tremendous potential and I'm excited to see where the journey takes her.

Omg this book stole my heart immediately🥹I'm a sucker for romantic suspense books and this one delivered! But first, can we talk about this being Hanga's DEBUT NOVEL?! I'm sorry, but how?! The talent😍🤯
Let's start with the mystery. Once again, I have to mention the talent that Hanga has! The mystery was written so well. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, excited to see how the mystery resolves. The number of times I thought I knew who is behind all the notes & break-ins, but I was so wrongg lmao.
Then there's our main characters. Kinsley & Thomas. I loved Kinsley, especially her friendship with Connor. I want to be their friend so badly.
But Thomas. Oh, Thomas. can I marry him?🤭he was so protective & possesive, but still he said some of the sweetest things ever to Kinsley!
“I want to be your mornings, your nights, your dreams. I want to be yours, Kinsley. And it may sound selfish, but I want you to be mine. I crave you. I crave every little piece of you. You are my brightness; my Antares, and I can’t live without you. It’s not worth living without you.”
I mean, how can you just not fall in love with him🥹
When Kinsley arrives at Coldwater with the Rhodes brothers, it's just the three of them. But soon they have a whole friend group trying to solve the mystery! I loved this friend group so much (and how Braxton tested Thomas's nerves every time he opened his mouth haha). I first thought that Braxton was going to be a douchebag, and Aaliyah was going to be mean, so I was really happily suprised when they actually were nice and part of the group🥹I especially loved Braxton, I need a whole book about him🤭
The first spicy scene did catch me off guard though. I knew that this had spice, but I felt like the scene came so suddenly and soon, that I were surprised, like "already?!" haha. And I would have hoped to see more of Kinsley using her criminal journalist studies. I honestly sometimes forgot that was her "thing".😅
+Some small things that I LOVED:
•The Dicktionary🤭haha, I love it.
•The dedication.
•That this book has supplementary materials, I'm obsessed with this kind of books. It's so fun to read the little notes & newspaper pictures!!
•The TW list at the beginning!! I don't really have any TW's, but it's always nice to see them easily available!

What an amazing debut! I have always wanted to read more books like this, and I love mystery crime shows, but could never really be motivated to pick up a book like a good girl's guide series (for example )
