An improvement on the first book which makes me want to carry on with the series now that the characters are established.

Extremely unsettling, but ultimately heartwarming second installment of the series.

As middle-grade read, skewing on the younger side, the preamble/buildup doesn't always hook me, but once the eerie things start happening, I'm gripped. Loved how Coco got POV chapters in this book, as well as being the driving actor in a majority of it. Hopefully we'll see Brian do the same in the next.

This one had impeccable winter vibes, as the first one had for autumn. Wonder if it'll continue to follow the seasonal turns.

At first I wanted to say this wasn't as good as the first in this YA series, but really it's just different. Whereas the first spends more time scene building and creating atmosphere, this more quickly jumps straight into action with our familiar cast of characters. Even still, I didn't experience the same chills here as after the longer build-up as in Small Places.

Hmmm... Bavilo mě to vlastně ještě o trochu víc než první díl, ale dost možná to bude zimním prostředím, ke kterému mám obecně blíž.
