Another vampire of the Night Bloode finds his mate, but this mate is supposed to be his enemy. I love these characters they are well fleshed out and likeable. Macy works for MEC which polices paranormal phenomenon but has been relegated to a supporting role when she wants to be in the action. Her whole life she has thought of herself as somewhat less than. But her time has come and to see her take the reigns is empowering. Duncan is a bit of a special vampire. He can get all of the ladies he wants with his suave persona and his bespoke dress. Neither think of any relationship though the attraction between them is smoking. Besides vampires don’t fall in love, right? This book can be read as a fun action packed thrill ride, but for maximum enjoyment start with book one. This is a great series.

Very much enjoyed this book, even more than book one. This series is shaping up to be filled with laughs, drama, years, and love. Dying for the next book seriously because Orion deserves everything that's coming to him!
