This was such a fun read! I loved all the colors and art style so much. And the space lesbians??! Especially butch space lesbians?? It was all so good! I also really loved the whole conversation this graphic novel had around smashing the patriarchy, women’s rights, and classism. I really need to get my hands on the next volume as soon as possible to see how this all wraps up. All in all, I loved this and it’s getting a solid four out of five stars!

I read very few graphic novels, because I prefer straight-up prose, so I am definitely not the intended audience for this. "Cosmoknights" reads quickly and I liked the four central women, but the set-up never felt convincing to me (an SF future where cosmoknights joust to win princesses). I did like the cynicism, though! Plus the world needs more lesbians in space!

Three out of five jousting stars, with a note that fans of graphic novels might well love this.

About my reviews: I try to review every book I read, including those that I don't end up enjoying. The reviews are not scholarly, but just indicate my reaction as a reader, reading being my addiction. I am miserly with 5-star reviews; 4 stars means I liked a book very much; 3 stars means I liked it; 2 stars means I didn't like it (though often the 2-star books are very popular with other readers and/or are by authors whose other work I've loved).
